What a fantastic ride yesterday!
For each high-temperature day this week, my plans formed for Sunday’s riding: Lasne. But then thunderstorms were forecast for Friday afternoon. Oh oh, must try to beat the thunderstorms. Two main reasons: 1) The Lasne area is very rain-sensitive, and one single short thunderstorm can turn it into a mud bath until the next unusual prolonged heat wave, and 2) Obviously, you do not want to be caught out, riding on them many open fields. Health hazard.
At 7.30am Friday I parked up for my trail destination. Here are some pictures of what followed: Photobucket.
I am now keeping my fingers crossed for great, dry weather for 13th June when my super-duder favourite annual event in the area is launched: Les Boucles de Lasne.
